Traveler

After a variety of stops throughout Colorado from the corridors of Adams State University in Alamosa to Town Center in Highlands Ranch, Traveler, has found a permanent residence in front of the Lafayette, Colorado Regional Transportation District’s (RTD) main bus station. After winning the 2013 City of Lafayette’s Art on the Street Jean Mellblom People’s Choice award, RTD purchased the public art piece as a gift to the city in conjunction with the Lafayette Art in Public Places [AIPP] initiative. The ceremony was hosted by both out-going and in-coming mayors of Lafayette and is a critical move in my professional career as a public space sculpture artist.
